Connections Parent Group

Endowment Progress Letter

Dear Adoptive Parent,

In 2001, a passionate group of adoptive parents from Children’s Home Society & Family Services came together to form the Connections Parent Group (CPG) for adoptive families of Russian children. They had all been stirred by their visit to their childrens’ orphanages and were determined to improve the quality of life for children who will most likely not be adopted. In just four years, CPG has helped to improve childrens’ lives through its Humanitarian Aid drives. Through these drives the CPG has purchased much needed bedding, medicine, cribs, toys, diapers and so much more.

Now it’s time to make a longer lasting impact. CPG, together with Children’s Home Society & Family Services has started an endowment, which will fund projects for years to come. The goal of the Russian Orphanage Assistance Endowment is to support CHSFS Board-approved projects such as providing playground equipment for children, repairing windows and floors, and continuing the work of the Humanitarian Aid drives.

To date, 67 donors have made 99 gifts totaling $12,730. Our initial goal of $25,000 will enable us to impact childrens’ lives even more.

Would you consider a gift of $1,000, $500 or $250 to the Russian Orphanage Assistance Endowment? Your gift today will mean a better life for children living in Russian orphanages for years to come. If you have any questions or other ideas, contact John LeBlanc at 651-255-2364 or email at jleblanc@chsfs.org.

Together, we can do great things for the children in Russia.

Sincerely,

Madonna King, MA, L.H.D.
